Romanian agriculture is receptive to the European transition to organic production; agricultural practices specific to this mode of production include crop rotation, i.e. the use of species that are also raw material for biogas.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mmediu.ro\/articol\/ghidul-de-finantare-pentru-investitii-in-capacitati-de-productie-a-energiei-din-biogaz-pe-baza-de-gunoi-de-grajd-a-fost-pus-in-consultare-publica\/6998\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">April 2024<\/a>The Financing Guidelines for investments in renewable energy production capacities, i.e. biogas from manure, have been put out for public consultation. The investment is made through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, Component C3 - Waste Management and aims to develop infrastructure for the management of manure and other compostable agricultural waste.<\/p>\n<p>The objective is the sustainable management of agricultural biowaste, especially from livestock activities, by increasing its recovery to reduce nitrate pollution and developing infrastructure for the management of manure and other compostable agricultural waste.<\/p>\n<p>There are also private initiatives to <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/g4food.ro\/o-noua-companie-va-dezvolta-centrale-de-biogaz-in-romania-care-vor-folosi-rezidurii-agricole-si-deseuri-alimentare\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">development of biogas plants<\/a>.<\/strong> EU policies and incentives are expected to increase EU biogas demand by 20% over the next decade.<\/p>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n\n\t\t\t<\/div> \n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div> \n<\/div><\/div>\n\t\t<div id=\"fws_69f287ed2f8a6\"  data-column-margin=\"default\" data-midnight=\"dark\"  class=\"wpb_row vc_row-fluid vc_row  top_margin_4pct bottom_margin_4pct\"  style=\"padding-top: 0px;
