Viitorul Energiei

Together for Romania's energy transition

Viitorul Energiei is an initiative FPE through which we aim to contribute to Romania's climate neutrality goals through a just transition with sufficient, affordable and clean energy.

Our objective is to support the most thorough understanding of the energy transition in terms of its technical, economic, social and environmental implications.

We have identified 11 main pillars that will underpin the energy sector in the future, including both established technologies and promising pioneering initiatives. Each of these presents both opportunities and challenges, and therefore needs to be promoted honestly and comprehensively to the Romanian public to highlight them. An informed and confident public is an important step towards a stronger, innovative and growing economy.

Viitorul Energiei

a new way, where experience supports innovation

Viitorul Energiei is a project to promote new energy technologies and their benefits. Because alignment of principles is the first step towards effective action, we want to stimulate dialogue among the specialists who can make the transition a reality, namely technical and legal professionals, authorities and politicians.

FPE is representative at sector level "Energy, Oil and Gas and Energy Mining". The affiliated companies account for over 98% of domestic oil and gas production, oil and gas transportation, natural gas supply and a significant part of the refining, marketing and distribution of petroleum products in Romania. One of the common objectives of the member companies is to decarbonise the energy sector by adopting innovative technologies.

It is therefore our responsibility to communicate the transformations our country needs to thrive in the new conditions of a zero-emission economy that protects the environment.

Viitorul Energiei

A new chapter of Gaz de Romania

The country's energy resources are getting richer. Thus, our previous project, Gaz de România, dedicated exclusively to natural gas, took on new dimensions and became Viitorul Energiei, dedicated to the most important technologies reshaping the country's energy supply.

Information about the gas sector, its challenges and technologies, can be found at gazderomania.ro.

11 pillars

for Romania's climate neutrality

So far, we have identified 11 fundamental pillars of the energy transition in Romaniawhich contributes to stability and security of supply. The 10 pillars describe the current moment, but it is expected that as innovation enters the market and technology advances, we will see an increase.
